Our Mission
KBFC is here to present contemporary red-flag global issues closer to our immediate lives through practical work such as article writing, volunteering, fundraising, and informative sessions such as lectures from NGOs. Understanding the countless issues that we often ignore or misinterpret is crucial to a new generation that is informed and prepared.
Every month, we will be setting a 'monthly topic' and articles, awareness videos and other editorial content that will be posted here on our website. You can also get information on upcoming talk sessions and fundraising events with many different and fascinating NGOs related to the monthly theme right here on our page!
November's Topic: Conflicts and Mental Health
November is Mental Health Awareness month, so KBFC wants to take a minute to recognise the importance of mental health for all of us. It is key to our overall personal well-being, growth, as well as our academic development and professional successes. Due to ongoing global conflict, we have also been exposed to a world of chaos with many innocent lives being lost daily. We understand how much this can impact the mental health of those involved or otherwise affected by these conflicts and have therefore decided to focus on the impact of conflict on mental health.

We would also like to encourage solidarity for those affected by such catastrophes and raise awareness around similar global issues, including the wellbeing of affected individuals. We are therefore planning to host events which aim to discuss the mental health of refugees, asylum seekers and many more individuals who are suffering due to these atrocities.

Oxfam Training Weekend
On the 25th of November, KBFC will be attending Oxfam's training workshop which will take place in London and whose theme will be "Your Journey into Activism". There, we learn how to campaign and fight for social justice, together with other university student activists from all across the UK!
Armenian Fundraiser Event
On the 15th of November, KBFC Will attend a panel with the ambassador of Armenia and other speakers, followed by reception and an informal fundraising social
Young Roots Fundraiser Panel
On the 27th of November, KBFC will attend a Panel organised by the "Young Roots" organisation, which will discuss the mental health of refugees and asylum seekers
